A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support an elementary school setting in Naperville, IL, for the upcoming school year. This role is designed for professionals passionate about enhancing students' communication abilities and providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
- Experience working as a school-based SLP, preferably within an elementary school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively within a school calendar year contract
